Call for Late-Breaking Abstracts

**CALL FOR ABSTRACTS IS NOW CLOSED** We are no longer accepting general abstract submissions for the ASM. The committee will now consider late-breaking abstracts. A late-breaking abstract must contain new information that was not yet known or fully available by the original abstract submission deadline—please note that this is not an extension of the general submission deadline. Late-breaking abstracts will be considered for posters only, and will not be eligible for prizes or publication in the NZMJ. They may be published in Ngau Mamae. All abstracts must be original research, concise (250 words maximum, excluding presenters and department), single-spaced, and submitted in English as a Word document via email to [email protected]. The content must follow a structured format with the following headings:
Please ensure your Title and Body are in Sentence Case, and use the surname-last format for Authors/Presenters, including institution, city, and country for all affiliations. Closing date is 5:00 PM New Zealand Daylight Time (NZDT) January 23, 2026, There will be no extension of this deadline. Decision will be provided by 5:00 PM NZDT on January 27. Presenting authors must register for the full conference, or the poster will not be accepted for display. |

Poster Display
There will be a poster display onsite at the conference. If you are selected to offer a poster display, you will need to bring a printed copy of your poster with you to display.
The poster panels will be velcro-sensitive. Please bring some velcro to attach your poster. Your poster should be A0 portrait in size and the text should be of sufficient size for easy reading at a distance of 1 metre.
You may also upload a high-res PDF of your poster for display on the conference website. The deadline for this is 23 February 2026. Your poster will be made available as a digital poster on the conference website and mobile app.
