Call for Abstracts
You are invited to submit an abstract to be considered by the Organising Committee for presentation at the 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting of the New Zealand Pain Society Inc.
Abstracts are invited for Oral or Service presentations or Poster Displays. Abstracts must be submitted via this website. Please only submit your abstract once. If you are not offered an oral presentation, you may be offered a poster presentation or display.
You will receive confirmation by email that the abstract has been received. If you have any questions, please contact the Professional Conference Organisers (PCO) [email protected]. Your submitted abstract will be considered by the Scientific Committee for presentation in due course. |

Presentation Styles
Oral Presentations
If you are selected to offer an oral presentation you will need to prepare and practise an 8-minute presentation. 2 minutes will then be set aside at the end of your presentation for Q&A. Standard audio-visual equipment will be provided: lectern, microphone, PC laptop, data projector and screen. All presentations will need to be presented in PowerPoint. You will need to provide your PPT presentation to the conference organisers by 23 February 2026. Vertical Divider

Poster Display
There will be a poster display onsite at the conference. If you are selected to offer a poster display, you will need to bring a printed copy of your poster with you to display. The poster panels will be velcro-sensitive. Please bring some velcro to attach your poster. Your poster should be A0 portrait in size and the text should be of sufficient size for easy reading at a distance of 1 metre. You may also upload a high-res PDF of your poster for display on the conference website. The deadline for this is 23 February 2026. Your poster will be made available as a digital poster on the conference website and mobile app. |
Awards may be presented in the following categories...
- “1st Presentation at a Conference"
- "Best Free Paper"
- "Best Poster"
Assessment will be based on content and presentation and the award will be open to all papers accepted by the Organising Committee. The judges will be appointed by the Organising Committee and the decision of the judges will be final. The awards will be presented during the Annual Scientific Meeting.
