I have been Clinical Leader in Pain Management at Wellington Regional Hospital since September 2018 after emigrating to New Zealand from the UK. My background is in anaesthesia but I have been a consultant / SMO in chronic pain management for a quarter of a century now. My interests in the UK were principally in interventional cancer pain management – in particular implanted intrathecal pumps – as well as a more general but mostly interventional non-cancer-related-pain practice. My interests are much broader in New Zealand and much less interventional.
